Kathleen Mae Weber (Kaye) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at her home in Laguna Hills, CA. She was 89 years old. Kaye was born on April 17, 1922 in Kemmerer, Wyoming. Her loving parents were Roderick and Agnes Roberts. She had one brother, Bill, who passed away shortly after World War II due to complications from injuries he received in the war. Kaye married Homer C. Weber on February 16, 1947. They were married for 54 years; Homer passed away in 2001. Homer and Kaye raised their family of five children while living in Torrance, Gardena and Westminster. Kaye ran the large household with skill and love while Homer built a vibrant real estate/insurance/ income tax business in Gardena. When the children were grown, Kaye joined Homer in the family business. Homer and Kaye were involved in many community and charitable activities. They belonged to the Gardena Valley Kiwanis, holding key leadership roles. They also loved to travel. Kaye was a life-long Dodger fan who grew up in Brooklyn and had her dream come true when the Dodgers moved to Los Angeles. Kaye had many great moments with the Dodgers, meeting greats such as Vin Scully on her 75th birthday and Tommy Lasorda on a trip to Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida. Kaye is survived by her daughter Lynn Rafferty and Lynn's husband, Brian; her sons Michael, Tom and his wife Karyn, Dave and Scott. Grandchildren include Michael Winnen, Shannon Talton, Tim Weber and Jeff Weber. Great grandchildren include Ashley Winnen, Steven Winnen, Allison Winnen, Gabriel Talton and Gavin Talton. Kaye also leaves behind nieces Charlotte Norris and Carol Clary. Helena Barba, a most dear family member lovingly cared for Kaye's every need throughout her final years with the generous assistance from her husband John and their nephew Clyde.
