Kenneth Leung Obituary
Kenneth Edward Leung

Kenneth Edward Leung, age 62, went to his final resting place with our Lord on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Washington, D.C. on October 22, 1952 to William and Alicia Leung. He married Norma Reyes in 1978. Ken grew up in Carson, CA, where he made many lifelong friends. This is a testament to the kind of man he was. He ran track & cross country and graduated from Carson High School. He worked at Dow Chemical in Torrance, CA while attending college; finally earning his Bachelor's Degree in Business from U.S.C.; transferred to Midland, MI in 1984, where he worked in Customer Service. He retired from Dow after 34 years, to work on a joint venture between Dow Chemical & Chevron-Phillips named Americas Styrenics in Texas. He retired in 2012. He was an avid athlete; loved running, playing tennis, racquetball, softball & volleyball. When he wasn't doing that, he was on his elliptical. He is predeceased by his father, William; brother, Anthony; maternal and paternal grandparents; and aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Norma; children, Janelle and Kenny II; mother, Alicia; brother, Bill Jr.; mother-in-law, Alicia; many sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Ken was one in a billion. He was cherished and loved by his family and friends. He was a positive example to everyone he met. He was the happiest person anyone was blessed to know. The best tribute anyone can pay him is to cherish your spouse; fight hard to preserve your marriage; value your family and be respectful to all.

A celebration of his life will be held at All Souls Mortuary at 4400 Cherry Ave., Long Beach, CA 90807 with visitation and rosary at 11:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow at All Souls Mortuary Reception Room.
