Lino V. Urrea of Wilmington died early Thursday morning, September 26, 2013. Lino was born to Juan and Louisa Urrea on May 7, 1918 in Humboldt, AZ. Lino was the third youngest in a large family. He served in the Navy during WWII, Korean War and Vietnam War. During his naval career, he also served on many ships, and sailed through the Atlantic, Pacific, Caribbean Oceans and many more. During his naval career he served in various duty stations, Washington State, Hawaii and San Diego. Upon retiring from the Navy after 20 years, he went to work for the Long Beach Naval Shipyard for another 10 years. Lino is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Eleanor, his son's John Lee (Marie) and Edward Philip, seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, October, 8, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., Wilmington, CA. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
