Starkey, Luther L. passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2010. He was born in Longview, Washington on November 14, 1942 and grew up in Kansas. Mr. Starkey served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Mac Arthur in San Pedro. He retired from Northrop Aerospace after 26 years. Luther also volunteered for many years at Little Sisters of the Poor. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Mary; four children, William, Diane, Sandra and Marie; brother, Don (Inge) Starkey; sister, Carol (Bernie) Vaughn; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2010 at McNerney's Mortuary Chapel. Respecting the wishes of the family, they suggest you do a random act of kindness for a stranger.
