Michael Bustos Obituary
It's time to celebrate the amazing life of Michael Bustos. He left his body on August 9, 2011 under the loving care of his daughter, Michele Bustos. Mike was born in Hurley, New Mexico and was raised along the shores of San Pedro. Since he was the oldest son of 13 kids, he became a patriarchal figure to his siblings. When he was 16 he drove most of his family all the way to Virginia. After finishing high school and attending college at William and Mary, he later joined the service and fought in World War II. As time marched on, in 1951, he became a member of the International Longshore and Warehousemen's Union and retired as a boss when he was 79. As he got older, he became a vegan and his drink of choice was wheatgrass. Down the hatch! He was predeceased by his wife, Julie Bustos. Mike loved his daughters with all his heart, Michele and Juliet and especially his grandson, Elijah Bustos. He is survived by 6 brothers and sisters and countless nieces and nephews. Services will be held graveside at Green Hills Memorial Park on Friday, August 19 at 12pm. Please sign the guestbook for Michael at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
