Services will be held Saturday, March 3 for Michael Kulin of Torrance, a beloved husband, father, brother and friend. he was a Girl Scout dad, a football and basketball coach, a school and community volunteer, a chef, a gardener, and an avid fisherman. Born September 4, 1951 in Torrance, Mike died February 13, 2012 surrounded by family and friends after a six month battle with lung cancer. A member of American Martyrs parish and a popular youth football coach, Mike spent much of his life building a strong family with his wife, Camilla and running an insurance business. he was also a loyal friend. Mike is survived by his wife; daughter, Anna 17; son, Alex 11; three brothers, Bill Kulin of Torrance, James Cohee of Petaluma and Art Cohee of Spencer, Indiana; four sisters, Mary Ann Peterson and Suzanne McArthur, both of Lomita, Margie Manifold of Bloomington,Indiana and Beth Fancher of Moses lake, WA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Dorothy Cohee, and his brother, Steve Kulin. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30pm at American Martyrs Catholic Church, 624 15th St, Manhattan Beach followed by a memorial Mass at 2pm. A reception celebrating his life will be held immediately afterward at The Blessed Kateri room across from the church.
