Michael Ronan Bergeron

Michael was born on December 7, 1938, in Fall River, MA, to Emile Felix and Louise (Ronan) Bergeron and passed away on October 21, 2012. He was predeceased by his sister, Joan Ohrn, brothers, David and Peter, and his daughter, Susan. He leaves sisters, Judith O'Connell and Elizabeth McMahon, and brother, Paul Bergeron. He also leaves his daughter, Karen and sons, Douglas and Michael, Jr. Michael graduated from B.M. C. Durfee High School in Fall River. He served for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. Michael worked most of his adult life in the industrial insulation industry for New England Insulation in Canton, MA, and most recently for Farwest Insulation in Fullerton, CA. Michael was a faithful member of St. Michael the Archangel Episcopal Church in El Segundo, CA. He was active in all events involving the church, including serving as senior warden for several years. Michael was also the president of Deanery Eight of the Diocese of Los Angeles for the last 5 years. Michael suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and was a member of the Pulmonary Education Program (PEP) Pioneers of Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital. He also served on the Board of Directors of PEP. Michael was married for 27 years to Julie C. (Darbyshire) and lived and traveled with her to many wonderful and exciting places. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to PEP Pioneers, Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital, Pulmonary Rehab Program, 20929 Hawthorne Blvd., Torrance, CA 90503. A viewing will be held on Friday, October 26, from 5-9 p.m. at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA 90503. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 27, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Episcopal Church, 361 Richmond Street, El Segundo, CA 90245.
