Obituary Condolences

Myron Gazin

Myron Gazin, passed away peacefully on May 27th at his home away from home at Silverado Senior Living in Redondo Beach. Myron was born in 1925 in Minnesota. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he and his wife, Patricia, moved to Hermosa Beach in 1956 and fell in love with the beach community. He was a brilliant engineer and spent his early career working on telecommunications satellites at Hughes Aircraft Company. After his retirement, he was active in the Friends of the Arts and the HB Historical Society. His favorite thing for many years was sailing with Captain Bob Brodsky and his crew but he always loved tinkering in his garage; he could fix or build anything in his workshop. Myron had a puckish sense of humor; he is missed by all.

He is survived by his children, Catherine, Gregory and granddaughter Jennifer. He is predeceased by his father, Samuel, mother, Rose and wife Patricia. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to an animal rescue organization of your choice (Myron loved his cat, Hoppy).
