Nicholas E. Yacobucci Obituary
Nicholas E. Yacobucci

Nicholas E. Yacobucci, beloved husband, father and brother, passed away peacefully on January 25th after a long, hard-fought battle with congestive heart failure at the age of 69. Nicholas was preceded in death by his father Nicholas, mother Margaret, and sister Theresa. He is survived by his wife Rhonda, son Taylor, sister Margaret Stelmach (Eddie), numerous nieces and nephews, his Sigma Chi brothers and many dear friends.

Nicholas grew up in Blasdell, New York and went to college at Michigan State, where he was president of Sigma Chi fraternity. After graduating college he began his career in the apparel industry in Chicago. Several years later he moved to California and worked his way up to become Executive Vice President of Brookhurst Inc., where he worked for over 30 years before retiring in 2007. After retiring, he decided to dedicate his time to volunteering in the community and served one term as Booster-Club President at Peninsula High School.

His favorite pastimes were traveling, playing poker with his Boys Club, "passionately discussing" politics, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Nicholas claimed to love animals more than humans, but his actions proved otherwise. He was a man of great charisma and a staunch supporter of those that he cared for.

The services will be held on February 6th at 12:30 P.M at St. John Fisher Church in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Nicholas had a love of philanthropy, so in lieu of flowers his family asks that you donate to one of his favorite charities: World Wildlife Foundation, ASPCA, Los Angeles Mission, , or .
