Oscar Villa Obituary
Oscar Villa

After a long and courageous battle with lymphoma, Oscar Villa, 44, passed away on October 19, 2011 surrounded by his family and loved ones at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. Oscar was born in Mexicali, Mexico on Janaury 24, 1967. Oscar was raised in San Pedro, CA and later moved to Carson, CA. He attended both San Pedro High school and Carson high School in 1985. Oscar had always had a special place in his heart for the city of San Pedro, which is where he and his wife of 21 years, Dianne, started their beautiful family. Oscar has become the guardian angel to his three daughters, Cecelia Skye, 20, Anissa Lianne, 18 and Arianna Marie, 16. Oscar was an all-around amazing person, but one thing that really stuck out about him was his laugh. Oscar really enjoyed cooking, spending time with his family and just like any other man, he loved sports. He spent many years at Lomita Little League, where he was on the board and coached many teams. Everywhere he went, he would run into at least one person he knew. Oscar is survived by his parents, George and Antoinette Baca; brother, George (Dana) Baca; sister, Bernadette (Jesse) Grijalva; and many nieces and nephews. He truly left his mark in this world and is a hero in so many ways. Oscar will be laid to rest at Green Hills Memorial Park, where he will be able to forever overlook his home; the city of San Pedro. A viewing will take place Friday, October 28, from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Green Hills Mortuary. The funeral service will take place the following day, Saturday, October 29 at 1:00 p.m. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
