Pamela Jean Griswold Obituary
Pamela Jean Griswold

Pamela passed away in November surrounded by her family after fighting a serious illness for several months.

She was a lifelong California native who grew up in Palos Verdes Estates with her parents and sisters. She graduated from Venice High School and then Willis Business College before starting her career at McDonnell Douglas in their group insurance department and was later promoted to Section Manager. She met her husband and settled in Manhattan Beach in the late 70s and retired from McDonnell Douglas in the late 80s to raise her two children.

She loved horseback riding and introduced her daughter to the sport. Pam acquired a large pony named Popsicle and rode for over eight years at the Seahorse Riding Club in Rolling Hills Estates. She was loved by everyone there including the horses.

Pam is survived by her husband, Scott; son, James; daughter, Tracey and son-in-law, Bobby; along with her three sisters, Linda, Diane and Rosemary, and countless lifelong family members and friends who loved her dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Neighborhood Church in Palos Verdes Estates on Friday, December 16th at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Ride On - Pamela Griswold Scholarship Fund benefiting children and adults with disabilities through adaptive horseback riding www.rideon.org/giving.html or to the Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation to advance lung cancer research www.cancer.ucla.edu/donate - please note that your gift is in memory of Pamela Griswold.
