He loved to camp, hike, hunt, fish and ride horses. At one time he was an accomplished boxer. He was an active and beloved member of the fellowship of South Bay Trudgers. Together, with members of his group, Phil enjoyed going to the beach, playing volleyball and taking trips to Palm Desert and Yosemite, California. Phil will always be remembered for his kindness, gentleness, sense of humor, playfulness and determined willingness to help others in need. A memorial service will be held on Sunday evening, February 13, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Torrance Church of the Nazarene, 700 S.
