Ray Foster, Jr.

April 21, 1928 - January 28, 2016

Ray Foster, Jr. was born in Flint, Michigan on April 21, 1928, and he died on January 28, 2016 at The Villages, Florida. Ray is survived by his children: Christina, Michael, James, and Janice; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ray married Glenna in Flint in 1948. They moved to Hawthorne, California in 1952, later living in Torrance and Mission Viejo where they divorced in 1979.
Ray had a long and successful career as a tooling manager at Northrop Corporation in Hawthorne, CA and El Segundo, CA. He coached Little League teams in Hawthorne. He was an outstanding baseball player at Dye High School in Flint, where his many winning feats were recorded in the local newspaper there.
Ray lived throughout southern California until the late 1980's, later moving to the southeast where he lived in many states there. He enjoyed playing golf and worked as a golf ranger at golf courses in Myrtle Beach, SC.
When Ray moved to Summerfield, FL, his final hometown, he ran a card club, played on bocce ball teams, and enjoyed dancing at clubs in The Villages.
In accordance with his wishes, Ray will be interred near his parents, Ray, Sr. and Susie, at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery in Grand Blanc, MI.
