Robe H. Kaholoahina Richester
1987-2012

Born December 18, 1987 he was a lifetime resident of Redondo Beach where he attended Lincoln Elementary, Adams Middle School and graduated from Mira Costa High School in 2006. Robe passed away on September 10, 2012 after a two-year battle with health complications due to a brain tumor, at his home in the arms of his loving family. His passing will leave a void in all the lives that he touched. He was a very generous and giving young man and always was ready and willing to help others. While at Adams Middle School, he was on the flag football team that went undefeated for two years. He was named by the student body "Awesome Athlete of the Year." He also played on a championship team for North Redondo Little League. Robe went on to become the winning pitcher for the tournament of champions. While attending Mira Costa High School he played freshman football as a defensive back and was named "The Most Improved Player." The team went on to win the bay league championship. While on the track team he ran the 100 yard dash, the 4x100 and the 200 where he earned his varsity letter. He received numerous accolades for outstanding scholastic achievement, a scholar athlete award as well as an award for outstanding achievement in visual arts in ceramics. He was recognized by the Manhattan Beach Rotary Club for his excellence in ceramic arts. Robe was a member of the P.A.C.E. (People Attaining Complete Equality) program at Mira Costa where he thoroughly enjoyed assisting other students with social needs. He was actively involved with volunteer work in his community which included refurbishing the Redondo Beach Police Department firing range. Robe enjoyed music, gardening and creating art. He will forever be missed by his family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Irene and Theodore Seto and Robert and Rio Richester. He leaves behind his father, Robe Sr.; his mother, Stella; brothers, Daniel and Linonn; sister, Ciara; and niece, Aurora. Please join us in celebrating his beautiful life on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 1pm at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle located at 18701 South Denker Ave. in the city of Gardena.
