Robert Carson Bell, passed on June 4th 2015 due to cardiac arrest.

Robert, known as Kit, was born in Newbrunswick, New Jersey, August 8, 1941. He was raised in Avondale Estates, GA graduating from Avondale High School in 1959.

Kit was a star football player in high school, earning a football scholarship to Clemson University. He graduated in 1964 as a Distinguished Air Force ROTC graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Management.

Kit entered the United States Air Force in 1964. Serving his country during the Vietnam War; 1971-1972, as Chief of Detachment 11 in Udorn, Thailand. During his Air Force career he managed the B1-B program. He retired in 1990 after 26 years of service, highly decorated having achieved the rank of Colonel.

After his military service, Kit worked for The Boeing Company as Director of the B1-B and C-17 programs, earning Leader of the Year in 1998 and retiring for good in January, 2005.

Kit is survived by his wife, high School sweet heart and best friend, Nancy Ann Stevens. They were married in February, 1964 and enjoyed 51 years of travel and adventures.
He is also survived by his two children, Kelly and Russell; his granddaughter, Jule (8); his son-in-law Dennis Loven; his sister, Nancy Perry and dog, Brutus.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on July 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 1648 W. 9th Street, San Pedro, CA. There will be a reception in the parish hall following the Service.
