Stella Marina Amado Guillen De Tarr of Torrance, California, went home to the house of our Lord on December 3, 2013 at the age of 92. She was in the loving presence of her family and those who cared and loved her. Stella was born on August 13, 1921 in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Central America and over a 60-year resident of Torrance. She was the loving wife of 54 years of the late Albert C. Tarr and beloved daughter of the late Indalecio and Aurora Amado. Stella is survived by her son, Kenneth A. Tarr (Kathy) and daughter, Bernadette M. Jackson (Neal). Grandmother of three, Kenneth Tarr (Heather), Chris Tarr (Lisa) and Brigitte M. Covarrubias (Antonio). Great-grandmother of 5 with twins arriving in March. Stella met her beloved Albert in Guatemala City where he was stationed during WWII. They married in 1944 and returned to Maine where Albert was born. Stella was the first Guatemalan to become a U.S. citizen in the state of Maine. She will be dearly missed for her compassion of others, generosity, wisdom, and unconditional love of her family and friends. A private memorial will be held by the family. Please sign the guestbook
