Steve Sabosky Obituary
Steve Sabosky

April 20, 1920 - February 25, 2013

Steve Sabosky Sr., a long time resident of Redondo Beach, died peacefully on Monday, February 25, 2013 at the age of 92. By worldly standards, Steve was not a rich or influential man but in the eyes of his family and friends, Steve was a man of great stature whom God richly blessed. Steve touched many lives by his loving generosity, keen wit, and spontaneous sense of humor. His Integrity, dedication, and strong work ethic were hallmarks of his life. While Steve loved his beautiful wife, Muriel, and their family first and foremost, some of his other loves included the Los Angeles Dodgers, bike riding, history (especially if it pertained to Abraham Lincoln), reading, and enjoying a good hamburger or hot dog with his grown kids any day of the week. Steve grew up in Illinois and joined the U.S. Army at the onset of World War II where he served in the Pacific Theater. When Steve relocated to California after leaving the military, Redondo Beach became his life long home where he and Muriel raised their growing family. Muriel preceded Steve in death thus he is survived by his 7 grateful children; Rick, Terri, Greg, Tim, Mark, Brian, and Steve, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Steve was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. But, he now dwells in his eternal home where the peace of Jesus Christ will embrace and sustain him. We bid him a fond and loving farewell until he and Muriel greet us at heaven's door. Funeral services will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City Friday, March 8th. The Rosary is at 10 a.m. followed by the Holy Mass at 11 a.m. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
