September 13, 1963 - April 16, 2015

Vicki Dunigan, a life-long South Bay resident, passed away on April 16, 2015 after a courageous 10-month fight against breast cancer. Born September 13, 1963 at Torrance Little Company of Mary Hospital to Robert and Patricia Dunigan, Vicki attended St. James Catholic School before graduating from Bishop Montgomery High School in 1981. After high school, she began a 20-year-plus career in the medical billing industry. "Aunt Vic" enjoyed spoiling her nieces and nephews and the children of her close friends, who knew her as "Tia Vicki." She enjoyed visiting the beach, playing adult league softball, and hitting the dance floor at every family event. Vicki was very involved in parish life at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hermosa Beach. She was a mentor to countless youth, volunteering with the Confirmation team and altar serving ministry. Vicki was a eucharistic minister, chaired community dinners and was a long-time volunteer at the the church's annual Spring Fiesta. Vicki is survived by sisters, Kellee Dunigan, Sharon Onorati (John), Debbie Fraker (Tom), Jacki Gafford (Alan) and Susan Henderson (Keith); as well as by 16 nieces and nephews: Jaron, Teresa and Ryan Onorati; Whitney, Sadie, Morgan and Tommy Fraker; Savannah, Dunigan, Alanna and Connor Gafford; Kameron, Kayleen, Kobe, Kenzie and Katrice Henderson. A Memorial Service for Vicki will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 320 Massey St., Hermosa Beach, CA 90254. A Rosary will be said at 11:00 a.m. with the Memorial Mass to follow at 11:30 a.m. An outdoor reception at the church will immediately follow.
