Vicki L. Phillips Bremmer

Vicki L. Phillips Bremmer was born to Leroy and Patricia Phillips on July 8, 1953. She graduated from Narbonne High School in 1971, worked at La Brea Tar Pits for the summer and accepted a job at the VA Hospital in West LA. She later transferred to the VA Hospital in Long Beach where she retired after 26 years of service. After retirement she and her husband enjoyed 8 wonderful years together on trips. Retirement didn't stop them. They started their own business in stained glass where Vicki did the glass etching and posting of pictures on the website while he did the kiln work and windows. Glasswork wasn't her only passion. She loved to prospect for gold, collect rocks and travel. She was a member of The Single Action Shooting Society where she was known as Lotta Harte. She was also a member of The Southern California Glass Guild, The American Glass Guild, The Gold Prospectors of America and The Lost Dutchman's Mining Association. She entered eternal rest at home January 10, 2012 after a long battle with cervical cancer with her husband and daughter by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Patricia Phillips. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Joseph P. Bremmer and her daughter, Vanessa Phillips of Lomita, CA. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Christian Bremmer, Andrea (Keith) Hope and 4 grandchildren; Andrew, Andromeda, Richard and Castiel. Visitation will be at Gamby's Mortuary Friday, January 13, 2012 from 4-7 with the Rosary following 7-8. Church Services will be at St Margaret Mary Church in Lomita, Saturday January 14, 2012 at 10am with internment following at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
