Victor Albert Signorelli Obituary
Victor Albert Signorelli

Feb. 27, 1928 - Dec. 15, 2015

Victor Albert Signorelli, Jr., 87, of Redondo Beach passed away December 15th.

Born to Victor and Catherine Signorelli in South Kingston, Rhode Island, Vic received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island and a Master's degree from Columbia University. He moved to Redondo Beach, California in 1964 and married his beautiful wife, the late Ophelia Signorelli in 1969.

Vic worked within the Los Angeles Unified School District for 28 years, as a teacher, principal and Director of Special Schools. He also held teaching positions at California Lutheran University, National University, and California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Though Vic was primarily a family man, he enjoyed travelling around the world, but Italy was by far his favorite destination. Yearly trips to Rhode Island to visit family was a close second. He looked forward to his daily walks around the neighborhood while picking flowers to bring home. He also loved good food and sharing it with good friends.

Vic is survived by his son, Paul and grandson, Lucca of San Diego; and son, Michael and grandson, Michael of Redondo Beach.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Lawrence Martyr Church, 1900 S. Prospect Ave., Redondo Beach, CA 90277.

A Vigil will be held at 7pm, Monday, January 4th at St. Lawrence. Funeral Mass will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, January 5th at St. Lawrence with reception to follow. Burial will be held at 11am, Wednesday, January 6th at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5835 W. Slauson Ave., Culver City, CA 90230. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
