William "Bill" Bryant Obituary
Bryant, William "Bill"
March 16, 1948 - September 12, 2011
Loving husband, father, and grandfather, Bill Bryant, passed away surrounded by his family on September 12, 2011 after a long time battle with cancer. He was born in San Pedro, California on March 16, 1948 and graduated from San Pedro High School in 1966. During his high school years he belonged to the Chancellors Club. At 16 he started working alongside his father as a carpet installer. He continued his career as a flooring estimator until his retirement. On August 31, 1974 Bill married Margie Felando and went on to father 2 children, Anne and David. The greatest joy in his life was his family.
Bill loved playing golf with his wife, son, and close friends. Bill enjoyed spending time outdoors and gardening. He loved his dogs, going to Kings' games and traveling. What gave him the greatest joy in later years was spending time with his grandchildren who affectionately called him Grumpa. He was looking forward to the arrival of his newest grandson in December.
He was a great fan of the Los Angeles Kings and UCLA Bruins.
He was preceded in death by his father, John T. Armstrong, and his brother, Eddie Bryant. He is survived by his wife, Margie; his children, Anne Gomez (Rich) and David (Lyndsey); grandchildren, Paige, Will, and Ethan. He is also survived by his mother, Winnie Armstrong; aunt, Jackie Brudrovich; his brothers and sisters, Ann Palacios, John Bryant (Rusty), Donna Pattison (Bill), Bud Armstrong (Jennifer), Debbie Jabuka, and Jackie Armstrong; sister-in-law, Pam Bryant; and more than 30 nieces and nephews, many of whom looked up to him as their father figure.
Bill blessed us with his wonderful sense of humor and joy for life. He had a reputation as being the life of many parties and he was a hit on the dance floor. He will truly be missed by the people he has touched in his lifetime. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits and www.mcnerneysmortuary.com.
