William Francis Hallet, Sr.

William Francis Hallet Sr. died in his home on March 23, 2016 surrounded by his family. Mr. Hallet was born on April 12, 1928 to John and Wilma Hallet in San Pedro, California. He graduated from San Pedro High School in 1948 and was an honorary member of the class of 1946 and 1947. He worked for the family business, Hallet Plumbing, for many years. An active member and served on several boards ILWU Local 63 and IBU. He was a man that wore many hats in his life and was a proud, hard working union man. He was a veteran merchant marine during World War II. William was an active member of the ILWU for 62 years, a member of the IBU for 35 years, member of the SP Elks Lodge #966 and of the Eagles. He married his dove, Elevia Hallet, in 1965. Mr. Hallet is survived by his nine children: Robin Ruggles, Tina Raspolich (Michael), Randy Hallet, Bobby Hallet (Michelle), Kathie Lopez, Bill Hallet (Eileen), Michael Hallet (Jamie), William Jr., Chris Hallet (Stephanie) 13 grandchildren: Eric Tittle (Christy), Lea Dileva (Jimmy), Damon Raspolich, David and Tiffany Lopez, Kieran and Tanner Hallet, Taylor Bravo, Maddison, Jaden and Aaron Hallet, Ian and Ty Hallet and 4 great grandchildren Vincent and Aiden DiLeva, Lauren Tittle and Kasie Tittle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilma and John Hallet; his sister, June Reynolds and his son, David Barry Hallet. Mr. Hallet's visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at McNerney's Mortuary. His Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, March 31st 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Rancho Palos Verdes followed by interment at Green Hills Memorial Park. All are welcome.
