William Hideyo "Bill" Shiozaki, a 57-year resident of Redondo Beach, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 in Torrance. Born in Koza, Japan, Bill was 63 when he died. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Bill worked for TRW/Northrop Grumman for 37 years until his retirement in May 2009. He was a member of The Sierra Club and South Bay Wheelmen and loved participating in century (100-mile) bike races. Bill is survived by his wife of 37 years, Elizabeth Shiozaki of Redondo Beach, CA; son, Eric (Heather) Shiozaki of Walnut Creek, CA; daughter, Kimiko Shiozaki of Redondo Beach, CA; cousins, Tak Shiozaki, Laura Lee, Amy Shiozaki and Rick Shiozaki; and uncles, Kiyoshi Shiozaki and Yutaka Shiozaki. He was preceded in death by his parents: father, Reisaburo Sakai, mother, Mitoshi Yanagi and stepfather, Norio Yanagi. The private inurnment will be at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach.
