William B. Martin, 88

February 25, 1925 - October 2, 2013

Born in Lithuania to Stephanie and Bill Ziogas, Bill (formerly Bill Bruno Ziogas) was naturalized in Chicago and proudly served the U.S. Navy during WWII from age 19 to 21. Bill worked many jobs after his tour including Union Pacific Railroad, but found his true calling in industrial real estate. He partnered with Edward Roski, Sr. at Majestic Realty in the early 1950's and went forward as a successful real estate broker, land developer, and visionary. Bill enjoyed tough negotiating, backgammon, fast cars, telling jokes, watching sports and the ocean view. Bill died peacefully in his home on October 2, 2013. He is survived by his only daughter, Kathy Belk of Tucson, AZ. He will be greatly missed by his business colleagues, neighbors and his many dear friends. Many thanks to the angels who ushered him with kindness through the experience of several strokes: A.M., D.F., Marina Del Rey staff, Centinela ICU staff, 24 HR HomeCare, AAA TLC, and Hospice Touch. Services will be held at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, Monday, October 14, 2013, 9:30 a.m. at Church of the Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, LA 90068. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to any Veteran's organization. Condolences may be sent to POB 30952, Tucson, AZ 85751. Please sign the guestbook
