William T.  "Bill" Fleischer Obituary
Bill passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2010. Bill was born in Los Angeles, California on December 1928. He attended Black Foxe and Paige Military Academies. He participated in the academies' marching bands and learned to play trombone. Bill attended USC where he majored in music. Bill played the trombone for the Santa Monica Symphony Orchestra. Bill later learned to play organ. He played services for Concordia Lutheran Church in Inglewood, Saint James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach, American Martyrs Church in Manhattan Beach, Christ the King Lutheran Church in Torrance and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Inglewood. Bill was also a general contractor building room additions and providing remodeling services. Bill was also an active adult leader in Boy Scouts of America. Bill's life passion was music. In his later years, Bill continued to play piano at various retirement homes in the South Bay area. Bill is survived by his sons, Thomas and Larry; daughters, Yullan Valor and Colleen Cannova; grandchildren, Ryan, Kristen and William; and great-grandchildren, Carmine and Kaitlyn. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Pacific Crest Cemetery Chapel. Reception to follow at 12:30 p.m. at the White and Day Manhattan Lighthouse Reception Room.
