Kristin Bialick Obituary

Kristin Bialick, age 32 of Broomfield, CO passed away unexpectedly at home on Aug. 28, 2018 from an accident precipitated by a medical condition. Kristin was born in Boulder, CO. She attended Eisenhower Elementary, Burbank Middle, and Fairview High Schools, graduating in 2004. She received her Bachelor's degree in 2008 from Univ. of Miami, FL in Music Business with an emphasis in Jazz Piano and minors in Business Law, Marketing, and Business Administration. Realizing she wanted to teach, she completed her elementary teaching license and Master of Arts in teaching in 2009 from Univ. of Northern Colorado. In 2010, she joined Boulder Valley School District's Birch Elementary in Broomfield as a 4th grade teacher. She had just begun her ninth year of teaching with an amazing group of educators at Birch. She loved to inspire her students. She certified as a 21st Century BVSD Technology Cohort and a Google Level 1 & 2 Educator, tirelessly working to coordinate technology into her classroom and mentor her peers. From the age of five, Kristin studied classical and jazz piano. She played piano in a community jazz combo and big band with director Steve Christopher at Center for Musical Arts in Lafayette. She was passionate about teaching, technology, reading, music, world events, women's rights, traveling the world, family and friends. Her endless motivation and energy, dry wit, beautiful curls, magical piano fingers, and radiant smile will forever be missed. Survivors include her parents, Laurie and Peter Bialick of Boulder, brother Jason Bialick (fiancée Kate Nelson) of Seattle, brother Ethan Bialick of Boulder, her dog Stella, aunt Gail Ophus of Salida, uncle Kirk Smith of Arvada, uncle Brian Smith (Mary West-Smith) of Boulder, aunt Steffie (Haim) Marcovitz of Aventura, FL, great-aunt Sharon (Kermit) Gause of Boulder, and cousins Deb Ophus (Dan Brown), Cristal Martinez (Ric Lantz), Eric Smith, Jaren Smith (Patrick Farrell), Jenna Smith, Daniel (Denise) Marcovitz, and Lenny Marcovitz.
