She graduated from Piketon High School, in Piketon, Ohio where she made quite the impact. She was captain of the cheerleading squad, homecoming queen, MVP and star basketball player and captain of the basketball team, volleyball team MVP and captain of the volleyball team, class vice president from 1972-1974 and class president her junior and senior year, captain of the softball team and softball MVP. Lori spent 32 glorious years with her spouse Shelia Cimafranca. Lori would always say it was love at first sight and would often recollect the moment she saw the woman who stole her heart, telling whoever was listening that the moment she saw Shelia, she looked like an angel. Lori and Shelia spent much of their free time during those 32 years making unforgettable memories laughing with their siblings, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She loved to play Yahtzee with her mom and had a blast every year for the annual Halloween gathering that they put on for their family. Her favorite past-times also included fishing, camping, watching her favorite football teams, The Denver Broncos and Ohio State Buckeyes. She had a heart for music and loved to put on her records and dance in the living room with her nieces and nephews, as well as her great-nieces and great-nephews, and especially with the love of her life Shelia. Lori had a passion for animals and spent her life rescuing many animals of all sizes and shapes. Lori is survived by and missed greatly by a host of family that includes her beloved spouse, Shelia Cimafranca of Johnstown, CO; her loving mother, Micki Berni, also of Johnstown, CO; siblings Carolyn (Harry) Mumpower of Georgia, Rusty (Sylvia) Berni of Oregon, Leasa (Steve) Mowry of Ohio, as well as her "bonus" parents and siblings, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that were very precious to her.
