Twila Mae Schneider, 84, passed on September 2, 2012 at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Colorado. She was born on January 13, 1928 in Bazine, Kansas to her parents Henry Kautz and Amelia Bender. She married Edward Schneider on April 11, 1946. The Schneider family had three children; Stanley, Kenton and Neitha. She is survived by her sister Neitha Slagle and brother Leroy Kautz, children Kenton and Neitha, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Twila Schneider lived in Kansas, where she went to Ness City High School, until 1965 when the Schneider family moved to Boulder, Colorado. Twila Schneider lived there until 2005 before moving to Loveland, Colorado. Her daughter Neitha was her anchor and caregiver and resides in Loveland, Colorado. Kenton Scott Schneider is a performing blues guitarist in Aurora, Colorado. Twila Schneider was a proud member and contributor to the church her family founded and built, the Boulder First Church of the Nazarene. Her dedication to her family, to God, the grounds of the church, and her own home garden will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at 9:30am Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the New Day Covenant Church (formally Boulder First Church of the Nazarene) at 2801 Jay Road, Boulder, Colorado, 80301 with Pastor Doug White officiating. Memorial funds for Twila Mae Schneider are to be sent to Pathways Hospice. Please note “Twila Schneider” in the memo line. My love and blessings to you all. Twilas heart will always be with me. We had so much fun together. She always had a smile that would light the world. Our whole family will miss her dearly. I know she is laughing with Jesus!

Our lives have forever been blessed by having known and been loved by Twila. Her strong and unwavering faith in Jesus and her years of unselfish service to His Church are now being rewarded forever! She has been the kind of church member every pastor longs for. One could not help but admire and love her. She will never be forgotten. Our prayer for her family is that the God of all comfort would comfort them in this time of significant loss.
