George Mario Berrettoni Obituary
George Berrettoni, long time Woodland resident, passed away Sept. 21 from a year long battle with brain cancer. He was 68 years old. George attended Woodland schools and Santa Clara University, graduating in 1972 with a degree in Commerce. After two years in the military, George returned to Woodland and worked with his father at Romey's Liquors and Tony's Cocktails for many years. He changed careers, becoming an Enrolled Agent, and was a tax preparer and bookkeeper for many in the Woodland area through his business, Byron Martin, Inc.George was an active member of the Woodland Rotary Noon Club, Yolo Fliers Club, Yolo Investors, and spent years as an adult member of Golden Empire Boy Scout Troop 69 in Woodland. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathleen; daughter, Gina Berrettoni (Drew Tucker); son, Mario Berrettoni; sisters, Norma Berrettoni (Rick Plocher), and Lynn Berrettoni (Andrew Caglieris); step mother, Norma Hughes Berrettoni; step sister, Jane Hughes Yeung; many nephews, nieces, cousins, and treasured Woodland and Santa Clara friends. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Nov. 3, at 10 a.m., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. George's Celebration of Life will be held Nov. 3 from noon until 3 p.m., at Heidrick Ag Center in Woodland. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Holy Rosary School, Rotary Berrettoni Scholarship fund, Yolo Hospice, or the .
