Thomas Enlow Etters Obituary
May 8, 1952 - Dec. 31, 2017 Woodland Born in Lakeport to Violet and James Etters. Tom was the middle child of three. His family relocated to Woodland when he was five months old, and he became a lifelong Woodland resident. He attended Woodland schools and graduated from Woodland High School in 1970. Some of his favorite childhood weekend and summertime memories were of time spent in Lakeport at his grandparents property making mischief with his two favorite cousins, Connie and Sam. As an adult he enjoyed playing cards with his mother and her sisters, and came home with stories to tell every time they played. He liked playing Pedro with the "old guys" at the American Legion. He worked 38 years at UCD-MC, beginning as a Painter, and retiring in 2013 as Assistant Superintendent of Plant Operations and Maintenance Sign shop and Paint shop. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cathi; daughters, Brianne (Javier) Morales, and Whitney (Blake) Prawl; grandchildren, Mateo, Dominic and Armand Morales; brother, Steve (Marsha) Etters; sister, Sherry (Sean) Olson, and two very precious aunts, "Tiny" Nunnemaker and "Vivie" McFall; several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, James Etters and mother, Violet (Etters) Plant. There will be a celebration of life on Friday, Feb. 16 from 1 to 3 p.m., at the American Legion Hall, 523 Bush St., Woodland. Tom's friends and family are welcome.
