Abraham Levine WEST SHOKAN-Abraham Levine, 91, of Watson Hollow died March 4, 2017 at the Hospice of Cape Canaveral in Florida. He was born in New York City on Feb. 22, 1926 son of the late Benjamin and Rose Citeman Levine. A graduate of Cooper-Union, Mr. Levine was a civil engineer and executive Vice-President for Tischman Construction in New York City for nearly 26 years. Some of his projects included: the original World Trade Center, the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City, New York Presbyterian Milstein Pavilion, Olympic Tower, and restorations at Carnegie Hall. He and his wife enjoyed both world-wide travel experiences, as well as hiking and exploring the beauty of the Catskills. They made their home in the beloved Catskill’s for about 40 years, starting with a summer spot, and later becoming full-time residents. He was a family man who adored his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 70 years Lorraine Wirig Levine, three sons: Richard of Port Chester, Howard and his wife Maryann of N.J., and Henry and his wife Lynne of Franklin Square. Four grandchildren: Glenn, Lorraine, Michelle, and Molly also survive. A graveside ceremony will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Bushkill Cemetrey West Shokan with Rabbi Zoe B. Zak officiating. Military honors performed by the Phoenicia American Legion Post #950. Friends will be received on Monday from 11a.m. to 12 noon at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home. The funeral procession will form at 12:30 p.m. from the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home, 87 Main St., Phoenicia and proceed to the Bushkill Cemetery.
