Julia R. “Judi” Tyler Swanson KINGSTON- Julia R. “Judi” Tyler Swanson, 84, of Tietjen Avenue, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at Archcare at Ferncliff Nursing Home, Rhinebeck. Born June 5, 1934 in Kingston; she is the daughter of the late Kenneth Burton and Donna M. (Swain) Tyler. For many years Judi worked as a salesperson at Bob’s Auto in Lake Katrine. She was also employed as a hostess at the Mid-Town Chop House and Colonial Diner and in her earlier years worked at Canfield Supply. She is survived by her children, Michael R. Gregory of Saugerties, Gary A. Gregory and his wife Kathy of Catskill, and Patrick Swanson of Kingston; and her brother, Stanley John Tyler of Kingston. 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren also survive. She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Marilyn North, James Tyler, Anne Tubby, Donna Wolf, Kenneth Burton Jr., and Kathleen Tyler. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Avenue www.jv leathyfh.com Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral home service will take place on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Marion Cemetery.
