Patrick J. Colbert LAKE KATRINE- Patrick J. Colbert, 75, of Lake Katrine died Monday, July 9, 2018, at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. Patrick was born July 30, 1942 in Kingston the son of the late Patrick and Ruth (Greenburgh) Colbert. A graduate of Ulster County Community College, Patrick served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War Era. He worked for the Kingston Police Department for 20 years serving as a detective and retiring as a Sergeant. During his retirement, Pat served as a Court Officer for the City of Kingston Court. He was a life member of Joyce Schirick Post 1386 VFW, Kingston Post 150, American Legion and the Marine Corp League. Surviving Patrick is his wife of 50 years, Ann Marie Colbert; his mother-in-law, Anna Dyer; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan Stopczynski and her husband Joe, Patricia Reilly and her husband Vince; his nieces and nephews, Michael and Joseph Stopczynski, Melissa Ramirez, Kellene Rifenburgh and her husband Don, Kyle Reilly and his wife Erica, Amanda Dyer and Travis Dyer; and his grandnieces and nephews, Chloe Ramirez, Jaden Ramirez, Reilly Rifenburgh, Brayden Reilly, Abigail Weidner and Caleb Weidner. Cousins also survive. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Joseph Dyer, and his brother-in-law, Joseph Dyer, Jr. Cremation and memorial arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Avenue. www.jvleahyfh.com Memorial visitation will be held Saturday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Military honors will take place following visitation at the Wiltwyck Cemetery Grounds. In accordance with Pat’s wishes, he will be buried at sea by the U.S. Navy. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the Kingston Post 150, American Legion, 18 W. O’Reilly Street Kingston, N.Y., 12401, Joyce Schirick Post 1386 VFW, 708 E. Chester Street Kingston, N.Y., 12401, or the Alzheimer’s Association, 2 Jefferson Plaza Suite 103, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., 12601.
