Kathleen Meuser HIGHLAND- Kathleen Meuser of Highland died peacefully at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by her loving family and friends on Sept. 27, 2017. Born on Sept. 23, 1953 in Poughkeepsie, Katie was the younger of two children born to Harold and Billie Irene (Haley) Meuser. She was a lifelong resident of Highland and a graduate of Highland High School. Kate owned the 9WDeli in Port Ewen for 22 years. Later she was employed by the Country Store Deli in West Park, N.Y., for eight years before and retiring in 2016. Kathleen was predeceased by her father Harold Meuser also of Highland and is survived by her mother, Billie Irene McFadden of Saugerties; her sister, Henrietta Cronin of Highland and her husband Charles Naccarato; her niece, Jaime Judge of Saint Michaels, Md., and her spouse Deanne Lysandrou; and her nephew, William (BJ) Judge of Highland and his two children, Kate’s great nieces, Kayla and Isabella Judge. Katie’s life was centered around her family and friends especially her great nieces as well as her boyfriend of 16 years, Dale Blake of Hermit Texas. Services were held previously. Arrangements are under the direction of the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home in Highland. I met Kate many times at the Country Store Deli over the years. She was a lovely person and I am so saddened to hear of her passing. My sincere condolences go out to her friends and family.
