Calvin R. Brueckner GLENFORD- Calvin R. Brueckner, 84, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at Ten Broeck Commons on Lake Katrine. Born Jan. 22, 1933 in Kingston; he was the son of the late Richard Brueckner and Nettie M. Kelder Brueckner Schussler and was a life long area resident. Calvin was a water-shed inspector for the N.Y.C. Department of Water Supply in Olivebridge, until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post in Olive. He had served with the Hurley Fire Dept. in Glenford, was a sherriff deputy and was with security at Accord Speedway. He enjoyed camping and hunting. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Miller Brueckner; a daughter, Cindylu Bagby; and his step-father, Walter Schussler. Surviving are his children, Alyn Warren of Glenford, Jeff (Tania) Warren of Hurley, Kevin (Kim) Warren of Saugerties, Cathy Wilkins of Bradenton, Fla., and Deborah Noble of Glenford, 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and cousins. Friends will be received Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. at Lasher Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Tinker St., Woodstock. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by interment in Mt. Pleasant Rural Cemetery, Mt. Tremper.
