Although I knew that Mike had been ill, I just learned of his passing, and I wanted to pass along my condolences to his family. Mike was one of my opposing counsel in litigation that has been ongoing for several years. He was an extremely skilled and zealous advocate for his clients, and he always practiced with the highest ethical standards. I not only respected his capabilities, but more than that, I truly enjoyed working with him. I appreciated his sense of humor, and he will be missed. I sorry for your loss.

To Mike's family: We never met, but I was lucky enough to practice law with Mike and travel together around the country, which gave us many opportunities to dine out at all of the exotic hole in the wall food and barbecue joints that were located in whatever part of the country we happened to be working in. Mike would always gladly scout out the best and most exotic places in advance. From Queens NY to Rockdale Texas and every where in between we had some of the most tremendous meals in some of the most out of the way authentic ethnic restaurants. Nobody had more fun practicing law than Mike and I.

Even when we were getting serious and preparing and doing client or expert depositions, he was always quick to find wit and humor in whatever we were doing to keep it real. He was the real deal as a trial lawyer and his authentic devotion to representing the "little guy" always came first in his approach and zeal in handling our cases.

I could go on, but he would chastise me for doing so. I will miss him. I know he is scouting out all of the best foodie joints in heaven.
