Thomas Tracy Obituary

Thomas J. Tracy, Jr. Ballston SpaThomas J. Tracy, Jr., entered into eternal life on Friday, March 1, 2013 at his resi- dence. He was born in Bal- lston Spa, NY, the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Reynolds Tracy. Thomas was a resident of Clifton Park since returning from Syracuse in 1968. He was employed by the NYS Department of Environ- mental Conservation and the director of management plan- ning for 15 years, also was em- ployed in financial manage- ment consulting for the State Department of Transportation for over three years. Prior to entering state government, he was employed for over 30 years by the General Electric Co in Schenectady, Syracuse, Arizona and Connecticut, in which he held numerous man- agement positions. Thomas was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army in France, Belgium and Germany. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Crescent. Thomas was a member of Vet- erans of Foreign Wars Post # 2007 in West Palm Beach, FL, and a member of the American Legion Post #1450 in Half- moon, NY. Thomas was the beloved husband of the late Ruth Mary Tracy. He was also prede- ceased by his sister, Elizabeth Tracy Davis. Survivors include his son, Thomas J. Tracy III of Ballston Lake, and several nieces, neph- ews and cousins, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Crescent, 86 Church Hill Road, Waterford. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Gordon C. Eme- rick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park. Entombment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. On behalf of Thomas's fami- ly, they would like to extend a special thank you to the Com- munity Hospice of Saratoga for all of their support and kind- ness during this difficult time. Also, Pop's as he was known to his girls; Marisa, Nicole and Tammy, will be forever in their hearts. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the SPCA of Upstate New York, P.O. Box 171, Hudson Falls, NY 12839. Arrangements have been en- trusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, New York 12065.

Tom became my boss at General Electric back in 1968. When he moved back to New York he was greatly missed. We had a friendship that lasted the distance for all these years. He and his family became apart of ours forever.

We met Tom and Betty on a cruise several years ago and became instant friends. When Betty passed away years ago, Tom lost a great sister and friend. Now we have lost our wonderful Tom. We know they both lived good lives and will be missed. Our prayers are for you Tommie for your great loss. God Bless!

You grew your wings and flew up to heaven to be reunited with your queen...my heart is broken for god has proven once again he only takes the very best. My life has changed without you here but I am at peace knowing there is no more hurt no more suffering and you are with your loved ones that left before you.
