Sheree L. Hamrick

Sheree Lynn Hamrick passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 23, 2021, with her family by her side. She faced the diagnosis of lung cancer and brain cancer with courage and grace. Sheree was the daughter of the late William B. and Annette L. (Mosher) Gutowski, and was born in Amsterdam on April 26, 1957. She married her husband Terry in Cocoa Beach, Florida on December 24, 1976. She attended Perth Central School and graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Sociology in 1992. Her last position was as a Survey Researcher for the Research Triangle Institute (RTI) in Durham, North Carolina. In addition to her loving nature, Sheree's "wry wit", humour and intelligence were her trademarks. She was our "Shining Star"! Sheree is survived by her husband of 44 years, Terry, her loving daughter Mai Hamrick Harrison, son-in-law Orlando, grandson Isambard, her brother William B. Gutowski, Jr., and numerous nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles on both sides of the family. Donations to a charity of your choice, in her honor, would be greatly appreciated by Sheree and her family.
