Alfred S. Benbow Jr. of Palatine for 43 years Alfred S. Benbow Jr., 78, died July 3, 2013, in Arlington Heights. He was born October 22, 1934, in Chicago. Al is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marjorie D. (nee Carlson). Sons: Alfred P., Richard C. (Louann) and Douglas R. Benbow. Grandchildren: Kyle, Zachary, Elizabeth. And many other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents. Al was a veteran of the United States Army. In his spare time, Al was an avid golfer. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Funeral at 10 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
