Dora Ann Voss Dora Ann Voss, 87, passed away peacefully on Dec. 5, 2012, surrounded by her children at the Midwest Palliative and Hospice Care Center in Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL. Dora was a brave, single parent who raised eight children. Though monetary resources were meager, laughter, music, dancing, love and pets were plentiful. Voss nurtured a household with a creative and artistic spirit that remains vibrant in her many descendants. For more than 30 years Dora worked at Addressograph-Multigraph (Bruning) Corporation in Mount Prospect, IL, as a master assembler and lived independently until her passing. Born Theodora Ann Chriss in San Francisco, CA on Sept. 13, 1925, she was preceded in death by father, Simeon; mother, Carmen (Eckroyd); and two sisters; Hope (Crisostomo) and Christine (Schneider). She was the loving mother of Ruth (Schulze), Elizabeth (Thomas), the late Nancy (Rudin), Patti (Stift), Blaine Jr., the late Michelle (Paolini), Michael and Herby. Dora was also cherished "Grammy" to 10; great-grandmother to nine; and great-great-grandmother to one. To celebrate and commemorate her life a memorial will be held on Saturday, Dec. 22, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights, IL. The service begins at 11 a.m.
