Robert Lee Oldenburg of Barrington Robert Lee Oldenburg, age 67, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, North Chicago, Illinois. He was born November 14, 1945 in Palatine, Illinois to the union of Albert and Dorothy (Harz) Oldenburg. He served as a Sgt. in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam conflict and was a sheet metal installer and was a member of Local 73 Sheet metal workers union. Survivors include his wife Terry nee: Liebeck, Loving father of David Oldenburg and Darcey Oldenburg all of New Mexico. Fond grandfather of Jocelyn. Dear brother of Ronald (Patricia) Oldenburg of Crystal Lake and Alan Edward Oldenburg of Sycamore, Illinois. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. till time of funeral services and military honors at 6:00 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 North Plum Grove Road, Palatine, Illinois. Rev. Warren Schilf, officiating. Private interment will be at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.
