Carl R. Lindquist formerly of Mount Prospect Carl Lindquist, 66, of Ingleside, died Tuesday night, Nov. 6, 2012, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 675 E. Algonquin Road in Des Plaines on Saturday, Nov. 17. There will be time to visit with the family beginning at 9:30 a.m. Carl R. Lindquist was born March 9, 1946, in Rockford, to Raymond and Irene Lindquist. He graduated in 1969 from Augustana College, Rock Island, IL, where he earned his bachelor's degree in business. He married Karen S. Flavin on June 6, 1970; together they had three children. Carl loved his job of 27 years with Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical of Johnson & Johnson. In 2003, he retired from his position as executive professional sales representative. Carl served on Council at Trinity Lutheran, was proudly involved with the Northwest Little League of Des Plaines serving as president for a number of years, enjoyed playing on the St. Mark Church Golf League, and enjoyed his cherished friends in "The Gourmet Club." Most recently, he served as president of the Oaks of the Hollow Homeowners Association, where he and his wife resided. Carl is survived by his wife, Karen; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Flavin; a daughter, Christa (Daniel) Remback; two sons, Brian and Brock (Christina); three grandchildren, Anakari Remback, and Malina and Michael Lindquist; and two sisters, Barbara Lindquist and Joan (James) Graves.
