Danny DiMeo Danny DiMeo, 62, died peacefully in his sleep on April 8, 2013 when visiting his children in California. Danny was born on May 3, 1950 in Castel San Vincenzo, a small town in southern Italy. He moved to Chicago when he was 4 years old and later served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. In 1973 he co-founded DiMeo Bros. construction company with his older brother, John. Danny lived in Arlington Heights and continued to visit the DiMeo Bros. office and job sites after he retired in 2010. He was a loving and proud father and grandfather who looked forward to a good dinner and family vacations. He leaves behind two children, Michelle DiMeo and Michael DiMeo; a grandson, Theodore Nelson DiMeo; his partner of 12 years, Linda Lombardo; and his ex-wife, Judy (Puleo) Winikates. He has three remaining siblings Tony DiMeo, Josephine DiVito, and Anna Rybak, and was predeceased by brothers John and Steve DiMeo. Danny requested privacy and his family is honoring that wish.
