Gerald Lee Smith of Antioch Gerald Lee Smith, 68 years old, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at his home with his family by his side. He was born February 17, 1945 in Chicago, the son of the late John and Marie (Suhon) Smith. He was raised in Chicago where he met his wife Linda (Stoga) and they married in 1972. They moved to Ingleside, IL in 1975 where they raised their family before retiring and settling in Antioch in 2001. Gerald was active in A.A., both as a sponsor and mentor for the past 15 years. He was an avid boater on the Chain of Lakes, and loved taking his family to the North woods of Wisconsin. Gerald owned Circuit Board Supply Co. of Bensenville from 1973-1999. Gerald was a person who lived life to the fullest, and his generosity knew no bounds. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Linda; three sons, Brian, David, (Suzy), and Nick; his sister, Marlene (Lawrence) Lozynski; his sister-in-law, Marge Smith; two grandchildren, Ella and Ethan; several loving nieces and nephews; and many friends. In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by a brother, Jack. Funeral services with Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30AM Friday, July 26, 2013 at St. Peter's Church of Spring Grove, 2118 Main St. Spring Grove, IL 60084. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Spring Grove, IL. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Thursday at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL.
