Steven W. Long, D.D.S. of Campton Hills Steven W. Long, D.D.S., 62, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at his home unexpectedly. He was born Aug. 11, 1950, in St. Louis, MO, the son of William and Ina (nee Thomason) Long. Steven owned and worked many years at his dental practice Steven W. Long, D.D.S in St. Charles, IL. He received his undergraduate degree from Southeast Missouri State University and graduated from the Dental school at University of Missouri-Kansas City. In his spare time, Steven loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed golfing. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Colleen (nee McGill); his son, Robert (Christina) of Chicago and stepchildren, Kate (Mike) Thomas of Elgin, Meghan Michaelsen of Chicago and John Daum of St. Charles; siblings, Janet (Bill) Tyson of New Lennox and Bruce Long of Monmouth; grandchildren, James Thomas, Kevin Michaelsen and Ryan Thomas; and nephew, Connor Long. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral prayers will be held Thursday, Jan. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State St. (Route 38), Geneva, proceeding to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 6N491 Crane Road, St. Charles, IL, for Celebration of Funeral Mass at 12 noon, with Father Slawomir Zimodro Celebrant. Burial will follow at Whitney Cemetery in Campton Township, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 2, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
