ELGIN - Marjarie J. Egger, 88, of Elgin passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Tower Hill Healthcare Center, South Elgin. She was born March 2, 1929 in Elgin the daughter of Glenn and Marguerite Thomas Russell. She had been a resident of Elgin for all of her life and was employed as an Executive Secretary at the Elgin National Watch Co. before retiring. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Elgin and the National Secretaries Association. Surviving at the time of her death was her husband: Donald V. Egger, who passed away 3 days after her passing; her step daughter: Donna (Al) Woodburn; and two sister in law's: Carol (Leonard) Schaeffer and Marilyn Applebey. Private graveside services will be held at Udina Cemetery with Rev. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Laird Funeral Home, Elgin is assisting the family.
