Edward C. Becker

Edward C. Becker of Hoffman Estates for 25 years Services for Edward C. Becker, 75, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Born Aug. 11, 1927, in Chicago, he died Friday, April 18, 2003, at St. Alexius Medical Center. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Mr. Becker worked as an upholsterer. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was the beloved husband for 47 years of Mary Becker (nee Thornton); loving father of Cathy Heldmann, Edward C. Becker Jr., and Constance Kuprianczyk; dear grandfather of eight; great-grandfather of three; and dear brother of John (the late Helen) Becker, and the late Joe (the late Jean) Becker and Fran (the late Jack) Pauly. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Please omit flowers. Masses are appreciated.
