Sophie Ciemienwski of Schaumburg Services for Sophie Ciemienwski (nee Odrzywalek), 87, will begin with prayers at 9:15 a.m. Monday, at Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Road), Streamwood/Schaumburg, and proceed to St. Hubert Church, where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Born Jan. 4, 1916, in Chicago, she died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, in Elk Grove Village. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. A homemaker, Sophie especially loved to cook and bake. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Ciemienwski; loving mother of Donna (Norb) Ucherek of Schaumburg and the late Valerie Ann Megregian; cherished grandmother of Martin and Stephanie; great-grandmother of Devon Houghton; and dear sister of Eugene (Gerri) Walek, Wanda (Victor) Knick and Harriet Danish.
