Frank D. "Frankie" Ludwig formerly of Wheaton A memorial service for Frank D. "Frankie" Ludwig, 45, will be held from 12 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the North Pavilion at Blackwell Forest Preserve in Warrenville. Deacon Joe Urso of St. Irene in Warrenville will be leading the service in prayer at 2 pm. Mr. Ludwig died Monday, March 20, 2006, in Covington, Tenn., of cardiac arrest. Frank worked hard but played even harder, enjoying the simple things in life; family, fishing, watching the sun rise, and friends. Born August 28, 1960, in Geneva, he is survived by his loving parents, James and Delores Ludwig of Apache Jct., Ariz.; his beloved daughter, Dana (Josh) Freeman; and a grandson, Ethan Freeman, all from Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; seven siblings, Cindy (Jerry) Frantzen of West Chicago, Linda (Dave) Koch of Ambler, Pa., James (Beverly) Ludwig II of Honesdale, Pa., Debra (Lonnie) Schouten of Burlington, Wis., Wesley (Janet) Ludwig of Wheaton, Donna Ludwig of Earlville, Ill. and Laura Ludwig of Wheaton; three stepchildren, Wendy (Steve) Kesterson of Burlison, Tenn., John (Maggie) Adler of Aurora and Mandy Champion of Ripley, Tenn.; six stepgrandchildren; his best friend, Jinnie Gray of Covington, Tenn.; 19 nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. "Our 'Brother in Life', you will be missed but never forgotten - we will see you again."
