1927 - 2018 Obituary Condolences
Edward "Ed" Albert Gee, Jr, 90, passed away on November 4, 2018 at Michaelson Health Center. He was born November 12, 1927 in Orland Park, IL, the son of Edward and Helen Gee, Sr. He was united in marriage to Caryl Euler on July 29, 1950 in Orland Park, IL. Ed attended Orland Park High School. After high school he joined the family business, Gee Lumber Company and later went into business with his father at E-G Home Centers. Ed was a member of Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Palos Heights, IL. He enjoyed the art of photography and participated in Palos area camera clubs. Ed entered several of his photographs in local competitions. Ed and Caryl both loved to travel and the trips were well documented. Ed spent as much time as possible "up at the lake" in northern Wisconsin at Big Portage Lake where he enjoyed fishing, skiing, and boating. He will be remembered for his easy-going personality and dedication to his family. He is survived by his loving daughters, Alice (Forrest) Muehlethaler and Louise (Jim) Turner; his grandchildren, Joe (Brandi) Muehlethaler, Katyann Muehlethaler, Adam Turner, and April Turner, and several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Caryl Gee and their son Tom Gee. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St., St. Charles, IL. 60174. A funeral service will follow visitation at 12:00 PM also at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 2:30 PM at Orland Memorial Park in Orland Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to the following; The Holmstad Benevolence Fund, Covenant Care Hospice or Big Portage Lake Riparian Owner's Association, PO Box 629, Land O'Lakes, WI. 54540.
